Industry Events - 2008 Calendar

Jan 27-28, 2008
Western Canada's largest hospitality trade show the BC Food Service Expo provides an outstanding opportunity to meet customers face to face. BCSFA attended this show in 2006 and we are looking forward to returning in 2008. This show is designed to launch new products, to build new customer relationships and to strengthen existing ones. Research shows that BC residents spend $292 more on restaurant meals annually than the Canadian average and this trade show puts us in direct contact restaurant owners and staff, enabling us to better educate them about how we care for our salmon and the environment we raise them in.

Feb 24-26, 2008 For three days, the International Boston Seafood Show allows us to focus solely on representing BC farm-raised salmon. With access to over 800 exhibitors from over 40 different countries, the latest in seafood products, and the opportunity to develop and maintain industry connections, this has become a key trade show for BCSFA.

EAT! Vancouver has a proven track record of attracting an audience that is passionate about eating, drinking and entertaining, making it a highly targeted marketing platform for companies looking to expand profile and market share. The BC Salmon Farmers' Association, in partnership with Hardy Buoys Smoked Fish and other BCSFA members, will proudly showcase farmed fresh salmon.

Sept 24, 2008 The 24th BCSFA Annual General Meeting takes place at the Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River.  This event gives members and stakeholders the opportunity to network and learn from each other.
Sept 25-26, 2008

The Aquaculture Pacific Exchange (APE), returns to Campbell River, BC on September 25-26, 2008. Since its inception in 1997, APE has been the place the aquaculture industry gathers to learn new strategies, discover innovative solutions, exchange ideas and share best practices.  The Conference will offer a timely, educational and thought-provoking program to delegates, while the Trade Show will provide information on the products, services and solutions that are needed by the industry.

A cocktail reception organized and hosted by the BCSFA will be held on the evening of September 25th at the Coast Discovery Inn in Campbell River.
